Last weekend, students from across the NuVuX partner school network in New England (along with one partner school from Tennessee) came to the NuVu Innovation School in Cambridge to attend the inaugural NuVuX Student Summit. This experience offered partner school students the chance to connect with each other and engage in a fast-paced and engaging design challenge focusing on facilitating free food exchange in the Central Square site. They were also able to take skill workshops in topics like digital fabrication and AI Ecologies, and participate in a fun outing to the MIT Media Lab or a local escape room. The event was capped off by a talk from David Wang, NuVu co-founder and roboticist working in the cutting-edge field of electronic medicine. The NuVuX coaches were immensely inspired by the students who brought their creativity and enthusiasm for an intense, productive, and fun 2 days!
Students came from across our New England and Tennessee Partner Network, including:
Oak Meadow
Andover High School
The Eliot Innovation School
The Fessenden School
Inly School
Mid-South Gifted Academy
We are looking forward to a bigger Student Summit next year as we open up the Summit to all of our NuVuX partner schools and organizations globally!
