Saba Ghole is the Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of NuVu Studio. She's an architectural/urban designer turned education and technology entrepreneur. Her multidisciplinary explorations in painting, photography, graphic design, film, architecture and urban planning have formed her holistic understanding of design and creative education. Saba is also an Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, an INK Fellow, and a TEDxSanJoseCA speaker.

Saeed Arida is the Founder and Chief Excitement Officer of NuVu Studio, a full time innovation school based in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Arida received his PhD in Design Computation as a Presidential Fellow at MIT, where his doctoral research examined the intricacies of the creative process and the nature of creativity. This work explored how an educational environment can nurture creative learning, which formed the pedagogical framework for NuVu, a new studio education model that nurtures students’ creative and innovative skills.

Ramzi is an architect, researcher, and educator based between Boston, MA and Beirut, Lebanon. During Ramzi’s graduate studies at Harvard’s GSD, his thesis tackled questions of territory, geopolitics, and architecture within the Syrian context. At the GSD, he was also a teaching assistant, research assistant, and instructor for a course on architecture and nation building. Ramzi has also worked at Polypod, a multidisciplinary studio based in Beirut, and has curated a number of exhibitions and installations at Harvard.

Aaron is an educator and designer with a background in architecture and a current interest in electric transportation. He is the recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Medal and the winner of the Deus Ex Machina international motorcycle build off. In his free time, Aaron practices gymnastics and enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing.

Joselyn is a creative technologist, designer, and educator. She has experience leading projects in a variety of settings, including founding Blink Blink, a circuit-kit startup that fostered electronics exploration for girls. She has designed installations at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, developed methods for manufacturing sculptures with industrial robots, and researched strategies for undermining facial recognition surveillance.

Justin Bernard is a Philadelphia + San Diego based educator, designer, and fabricator. Justin formed the group studioRON along with Eric Mayer. studioRON is a design collective whose speculative and contract work is pursued through the development and fabrication of architecturally focused drawings, installations, prototypes and inhabitable spaces. Justin has participated in a variety of international workshops and exhibits in the UK, Poland, Germany and Costa Rica.

Dina is an architect, urban designer, researcher, and educator based between Beirut, Lebanon and Paris, France. During her graduate studies, she explored topics such a fragmented cities and collective memory with her thesis publication on fluctuant border-zones in post-conflict Beirut. She was also teaching assistant and mentor in the Department of Architecture and Design at the American University of Beirut.

Ben is an empathetic, energetic, Bay Area native interested in the intersection of biology, design, materials, and technology to engineer systematic solutions. Ben is the connective tissue for people and knowledge. He values collaboration above all else. Ben is extremely curious about emergence -- how local interactions change over time to create complex, macro-level systems with unique behaviors the individual parts do not possess. He seeks to identify pattern languages within multidimensional data to discover unconventional ways to process information.

Kate is an educator with a background in visual studies and wearable art. She has been developing and implementing makerspace curriculum for over a decade, with a focus on elementary and middle school-aged students. Kate is most interested in projects that find unique intersections of materiality, technology, and craft. In her free time she is a competitive martial artist, avid baker, and mom of three kids who make excellent curriculum test subjects.

Matias is a Korean, Panamanian-born, California-raised educator, creative technologist, and amateur woodworker based in Long Beach. With a background in Hardware Engineering, Matias designed Aquarium Exhibitions, built Autonomous Driving Robots, and taught classes at Copenhagen’s iconic theme park, Tivoli Gardens. Now, he teaches a 9th grade Makerspace class, avidly snowboards, and continues to explore out of his comfort zone.

Annie Braude is the Executive Sales & Business Development Manager at NuVuX. She’s a former K-12 multilingual learner educator and district coordinator turned EdTech sales executive. In previous roles at Paper and Navigate360, Annie has partnered with individual schools and districts across North America. Annie was a former NCAA Water Polo player at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, solidifying the Division III National title and SCIAC Championship twice during her 4 years there. Now Annie is a competitive tennis player with 2 young children who keep her very busy!

With a rich professional background in education, Karen Sutton brings her love of program and project leadership to NuVu as Chief of Staff. As an avid planner and organizer and fan of straight lines, Karen enjoys working with and adding structure to a creative atmosphere. She is often experimenting with recipes, perfecting the craft of charcuterie boards, or outside with friends and family. An extrovert by nature, Karen is also an outdoor, beach, biking, bodysurfing enthusiast.

Ryan Ferguson is currently Head of Content at NuVuX as well as a Design Coach at NuVu Innovation School. His interdisciplinary background spans across architecture and industrial design with projects designing learning environments, carbon fiber furniture, experimental tools, and industrial equipment. As a designer and maker by nature, he is passionate about sharing his many interests with the next generation of innovators.

Paula’s passion lies in bridging the gap between education and design. She enjoys bringing the “making” pedagogy to students, especially K-12, as well as learning from teachers about how to best bring this pedagogy to them. Paula is also inspired by creating and designing learning environments to foment engaging and self-empowering spaces. In her free time, she likes to play tennis, listen to podcasts, and hang out with friends!

Mike Anthony Chaiban is a curriculum coordinator at NuVuX. He is an architect by trade and computational designer and educator by choice. He's a hands-on tinkerer and maker, devoting his time to turning his creative ideas into functional reality in the fields of architecture, computational design, industrial design, digital fabrication, and generative art. He has designed projects ranging from the architectural to the bite-sized using advanced fabrication techniques. Beyond his architectural background, he's a passionate educator, guiding students through exciting journeys by blending his design skills with modern tech.
