Spark Learning with
Hands-On Challenges
for Your Classroom
Looking for a fast, fun way to spark creativity in your students? NuVuX Design Dashes are hands-on projects that take just 10 to 30 minutes and fit seamlessly into any lesson. Each challenge introduces key elements of NuVu’s Creative Process—like brainstorming, low-fi prototyping, and context inquiry—in a casual, accessible way. Whether you’re teaching kindergarten or high school, these activities are designed to energize your students and get them thinking creatively. Ready to give it a try?
Every two weeks we will be launching a new Design Dash for K-12 teachers to start using in their classrooms and maker spaces. Stay tuned and once it's live, dive into the Design Dash with your students, and don’t forget to share the results on social media and tag #NuVuXDesignDash!
In this next NuVuX Design Dash called "Chopstick Challenge," students will hone the skill of brainstorming. This works great as a transitional activity to start the day or move into a different class block. Watch the video here and get your students engaged as soon as they enter your classroom!
In the "Grocery Bag Challenge", students will get comfortable with the skill of prototyping. Paper bags are an incredible prototyping material: you can use strips of the paper to weave into fabric, cut patterns that create 3D and voluminous forms, or fuse layers to make more rigid flat surfaces.
