We are pleased to announce that Kate James has joined the NuVuX team as a Program Designer. Kate has been in the NuVu family for years as the former leader of PreVu, a program that brought design education to preschoolers. Kate holds a Master's degree in visual arts from MIT and a Master's degree in education from Harvard. Most recently, she led a makerspace at a Boston area elementary and middle school. Kate has an incredible passion for design and education, and is exceptionally skilled at meeting the unique needs of Pre-K through 8th-grade students.

Kate also practices Muay Thai fighting and bakes elaborate multi-tiered cakes every Wednesday - just because! She lives in a decommissioned firehouse with her partner and three awesomely creative kids. The eldest is starting at NuVu Cambridge next year. Kate is an incredible addition to the NuVuX team and we’re so lucky to have her and her cake creations.
